The Maritimes
Our context
Acadian communities rooted here for generations live alongside people who arrived recently and neighbours reconnecting with French. Many are looking for somewhere to ask their questions and live their faith in their own language.
Micro-churches where disciples and people curious about the gospel gather in one another’s homes, around a meal and an open Bible. Together they grow in love for God and neighbour, in healthy relationships where everyone is known by name.
We train, mentor and support leaders who want to reach French speakers and peoples still largely unreached by the gospel across the Maritimes. Everyone we train can go on to train others: that is how initiatives multiply across the whole region.
Many French-speaking families arrive in the Maritimes every year. We want them to find a community here, a friendship, and a place that is genuinely theirs. Together with local churches, we are starting new initiatives to welcome and support immigrant families.
What we believe
Projet Acadie exists to serve churches in planting new churches among French speakers and among immigrants from peoples still largely unreached by the gospel. We respect the autonomy of every church and the cultural sensitivity of every people being reached. We want churches that are culturally sensitive and that share the gospel in a way that fits each people.

About The TaskHow we work
Nothing starts with a program. First we find where people are, then who to move forward with.
Find where the French-speaking communities are, and where immigrants from peoples still largely unreached by the gospel have settled.
Identify the churches near those communities that are ready to begin a project with each one and to join Projet Acadie.
Train and equip the leaders of partner churches for the work ahead of them.
Launch new church planting and micro-church projects across the region, side by side with those churches.
Walk long-term with every micro-church and every established church: leaders growing, disciples maturing, the Kingdom moving forward.
Call out new workers and engage them in the mission across the Maritime provinces.
